The Hughes Family State of Affairs for 2003 1517 Aylesbury Ln, Plano TX, 75075 - (972)423-8611 - http://rcclub.org/~wihughes/wayne We have had a truly fantastic year. When we were moved to Texas we were simply displaced Iowans. Our family has had some really significant events this year and some of it is because we were moved. It's an interesting path we travel in this life. Beverly is the Pastor at First Presbyterian Church Commerce Texas. David is a High School Math Teacher in Plano Texas. Elaine is in accounting for McKesson Pharmaceutical. Sara is an Accountant (CPA) for Grant Thornton. I continue to work for Rockwell Collins. This year surely wasn't slower than the previous one. This year we were all planning for David & Elaine's wedding. Then one night Beverly woke up with a pain in her back. Beverly had two significant surgeries this year. A heart catheter when due to back pain and a not favorable EKG reading, her symptoms indicated a possible heart attack. She was careflighted (on helicopter) from Commerce to Dallas. Thankfully, her heart is fine but the pain continued resulting in a surgery to fuse her C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. Her recovery for the fusion surgery continues slowly. This has been a big year for Sara as well. Sara has fulfilled the additional education requirements for CPA in Texas, moved to downtown Dallas and switched accounting firms. In the midst of all this we also had our kitchen remodeled.
