The Hughes Family State of Affairs for 2007 1517 Aylesbury Ln, Plano TX, 75075 - (972) 423-8611 - http://therevbev.com I continue to be a manager at Rockwell Collins, Inc. and Beverly continues to be the Presbyterian Minister at First Presbyterian Church Commerce TX. (http://fpc-commerce.org) This year Beverly continued her trend of celebrating her B'Day in exciting places. '05 in Tokyo, '06 in Vienna and this year in Hawaii. The Hawaiian trip wasn't all vacation as she went there to perform a wedding. I went along to carry her wedding book. We still took plenty of time to enjoy Kona though. We must have been good luck as when we left Kona they had an earthquake and a hurricane. In August Beverly had a treatment to deaden some nerves that were damaged and cause her to have chronic pain syndrome. The treatment met with some success. We had a number of highlights this year: Zoe's first B'Day Party, Sara's 30th B'Day, Elaine's MBA, David & Elaine moved and Maia's arrival. A Month by Month Account of the Year January Beverly traded in her 2002 mid life crisis convertible for a grandma car Feb Zoë's First B'Day Mar Sara turned the big Three Oh (30th) B'Day Visited family and friends in Iowa Apr Had the children and their families over for Easter Took a short vacation to the hill country - some friends lent us the use of their lake cabin. I finally saw the Texas Wild Flowers (Texas Version of taking time to smell the roses). Amazing! May Elaine graduated with her MBA degree Sara & Leigh's First Anniversary June Leigh's 31st B'Day Elaine's 36th B'Day July David & Elaine moved to Allen Tx August Beverly performed a Wedding in Hawaii - Kona Beverly turned 56 Our 36th Wedding Anniversary September I turned 29 I took a motorcycle road trip to the Kiamichi Mountains in Oklahoma and the Quachita National Forest in Arkansas - Alas, I did not see Sasquach I was working in Germany but did find time to get to Octoberfest Maia (pronounced my-a) Lane Hughes was born on 19 Sept. I was away for work but the most of the family was there for the big event. Beverly was late because she had a meeting, her car broke down, switched cars with a friend, and was stopped for speeding. She met Maia at 1 hour old.
