2018 Rides

In December 2017 I traded in the 2009 Sprotster and purchased a 2007 Road King.  The theory is that the Road King would be much kinder to my back and allow for more riding


January: 

1) 200 Mi.  Road With The Easy Riders RC For Day Ride.  Destination: Lunch At Roxton Grocery & Cafe, Roxton Tx.

The new name is believed to be a simplification of Rockstown or Rockston; it refers either to a prominent white limestone outcropping located nearby or to a distinctive rock gate and posts built by William Klyce at his home and store midway between Fort Shelton and the present townsite.

February:

2) 200 Mi.  Road With The Easy Riders RC For Day Ride.  Destination: Lunch Rhomer's in Muenster TX.

Muenster, Texas came to be  in 1889 when a small group of German Catholic settlers purchased land and started building a community.    Located on US Hwy 82 just 14 miles west of I-35.  There are vineyards, shopping  and a real glockenspeil clock located in Muenster.

March:

3) 200 Mi.  Road With The Easy Riders RC For Day Ride.  Destination: Lunch at Southern Grill & Kitchen  in Denison TX
Denison is part of the Texoma region and is one of two principal cities in the Sherman–Denison Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the birthplace of Dwight D. Eisenhower



4) 280 Mi.  Road With The Easy Riders RC For Day Ride.  Destination: Lunch at The Green Frog in Jacksboro TX

Jacksboro Is The Home Of The First 4-H Club, Formed in 1910

 

April:

5) 120 Mi Road With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Lunch At BeBo's.

It Was A Cold Day & After Riding For 1 Hour, The Group Decided A Closer Lunch Venu Was In Order.  Rather Than Going To Ponder We Went To A Good And Reliable Location - BeBo's - Between Pilot Point & Aubry

    



6) 1000 Mi Road With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Twisted Sisters (Ranch Roads 335, 336, 337)  Near Leakey TX

7) 260 Mi Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Marietta OK & Lunch At The Chicken Run.
 

June:

8) 170 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Lunch At Huck's Catfish In Denison Tx
 

9) 170 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Late Breakfast At Pop's Place In Denison Tx
 

July:
10) 90 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Short Breakfast Ride To BeBo's In Pilot Point TX
   

11) 175 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Lunch at Pop's Too in Southmayd TX.  Welcome The Shorter Rides Due To The Texas Heat.
   

12) 175 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Beat The Heat Breakfast Ride to Rhomer's in Muenster TX.  & Boy Howdy It's Been HOT!
 

13) 110 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Beat The Heat Breakfast Ride to Mom's in Aubrey TX.  & Boy Howdy It's Been HOT!
 

August:

14) 190 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Neu Ranch House (Buffet) In Gainsville TX.  The WX is "Starting" To Get Better.
   

15) 170 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Breakfast at Omega's in Commerce TX.  It was an early ride.  Note: It's Still Really HOT in TX!!!
 

September:

16) 1000 Mi 3 Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Arkansas to Ride The "Pig Trail". Considered one of the top riding destinations in America, AR23 runs from the Arkansas-Missouri border to US 71, South of Boonville.  While the southern portion is a nice ride, It's the Highway North of I-40 that is exhilarating.  This is one of the most renowened routes in the country - The Pig Trail.
                              

October:

17) 200 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Greenwood Grocery & Grill
 

November:

18) 220 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Sweet Boy's Restaurant in Bowie TX
 

December:

19) 200 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Lil's Chuckwagon and Rodeo Store in Bonham TX
 

20) 120 Mi Day Ride With The Easy Riders RC.  Destination: Cattleman's Cafe in Blue Ridge TX
