To My Surprise This Is My Last Entry To My Motorcycle Diaries. While Riding On An Overnight Excursion To Waldron AR I Had A Significant Crash On The Return Leg. Significant Means I was Hurt Enough To Give Uo Riding For The Rest Of My Life. It Started To Rain And While Following The Road Banking Left, My Road King Broke Traction. I Went Down On My Left Side Breaking Two bones In My Left Ankle, My Left Shin Bone, Ribs 1-5 And 7-8, Puncturing My Left Lung And Lacerating My Spleen. I Was Patched Up In Oklahoma Then Took A Care Flight On An Airplane From Talihini OK To Plano TX. After 5 Days And An Ankle Surgery In ICU I Spent The Next 3 Weeks in Rehab. I'm Making This Last Entry Sitting At Home While Bound To A Wheelchair And A Walker. I'll Miss Riding But I Believe I've Been Sent A Strong Message To Give It Up. However, Remember That Wayne Hughes Had A Harley Davidson Road King Classic and Rode For Many Years And Many Miles.
