Born Wayne Ivan Hughes in Des Moines Iowa

Graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1969 with a major in Communications Electronics and a First Class Commercial Radio Telephone License from the FCC.

Attended Iowa State University (Ames Iowa) starting in 1969 and Graduating in 1973 with a BS Electrical Engineering.

Married Beverly J Hirl in August 21, 1971.  We lived in Ames Iowa Married Student Housing (Pamel Court).

In 1973 started a 40 year career at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids Iowa as a design and development engineer working on many high profile projects.

We have two children – David Hughes 1974 and Sara Hughes 1977

In 1998 Rockwell Collins decided that Beverly & I should become Texans and we were moved from Cedar Rapids IA to Plano TX where I worked in the Collins facility in Richardson TX.

We were pleased that our children would later move to Texas and have families of their own.

Epilouge: 

After I Leave This earth, those who I leave behind will forget the love I had for Beverly, what I looked like, what it was like to be around me and what I did for a living.  However, they will remember I rode a motorcycle.
